Wine Related: A Year In… Movie Series

You can’t talk to any wine aficionado without asking not only what they are drinking, but what they are reading, and studying.

The new question now is “what wine related movie are you watching?” After the phenomenal success of SOMM and Into the Bottle (SOMM 2), wine movies are at the top of their lists.

The series A Year In… follows importer Martine Saunier in a few of the world’s best winemaking regions. It started in Burgundy, then headed to Champagne, and now the finale in Port. As always, the movies gives behind the scenes and realistic challenges in producing wine. The Port movie was just released on iTunes and is not yet available anywhere else. I suggest buying the trilogy so you can watch them over and over like I do.

Now it’s time to plan a trip to the Douro.
